FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Burbank, CA - August 21, 1996 The Magnolia Studios have continued their second phase expansion plans by commissioning their second THX "virtual" dubbing stage featuring the AMS/NEVE Logic 2 digital dubing console. Magnolia's new Stage "G" features a 64-input Logic 2 in a mixing environment identical to that of Magnolia Stage "A". The Logic 2 is joined by an Otari 24-track master recorder with Dolby SR, 6 Tascam DA-88's, a Fairlight MFX-3 Digital Workstation, a 16-track Post ProDigital Effects editing system, and a VMOD Digital Video Recorder in a brand-new mid-sized THX mixing room. The new studio is multi-format capable, from straight TV Stereo to LCRS to 6-way discrete for DTS or SR/D mixing, or 5.1 DVD projects. Suitable for episodic television, M.O.W.'s, International Dubbing or modest features, Stage "G" is currently mixing the internationally syndicated action TV show "L.A. Heat" for P.M. Entertainment. Design and construction of Magnolia Stage "G" was executed by Paul Sercu of Sir-Q Construction, Hollywood, CA. Technical design and interfacing for the studio was by Andy Potvin and John W.
